A meze price often means one person, with a minimum order for two. A small-plate price means something else again. This guide starts with the bill for the table and the service hours, so an evening recommendation does not turn into a closed-door Sunday lunch.

Our calculations from official menus, checked 12 October 2026. Drinks and unlisted extras are not included. The selection is not a ranking by price or quality.

Meze Taverna

209 Agiou Andreou, Limassol 3036

The old-town option for choosing between meat, fish and vegetarian meze. Per person: €25, €27 and €23 respectively, each with a two-person minimum. That means €50, €54 or €46 for two before drinks. Kitchen orders Monday–Saturday 12:15–21:45; Sunday closed. The vegetarian selection includes eggs and dairy.

Karatello Tavern

Lanitis Carob Mill Complex, Vasilissis Street, Limassol

For Sunday lunch near the castle: meze €29 per person, minimum two, making €58 before drinks. The selection includes grilled dishes and sweets, with seasonal changes. Monday–Saturday 18:00–00:00; Sunday 12:00–00:00. The kitchen closes at 23:00. A separate children’s menu gives families an alternative to ordering another adult meze.

Skourouvinnos

2 Fidia and Polixeni Diamanti (Kentavrou), Agios Athanasios

An evening choice in Agios Athanasios: the website lists meze at €24 per person, minimum two, or €48 before drinks. The menu includes afelia, halloumi and sheftalia, and may change seasonally. Posted hours are Tuesday–Saturday 18:00–23:00; Sunday and Monday closed. Call to reconfirm the current price and service before travelling.

Forsos Tavern

49 Agiou Eleftheriou, Mouttagiaka

For a Mouttagiaka evening outside the centre. The official meze list includes ravioles, sheftalia and chicken; no price or minimum order is published on that menu page. Ask for both when booking. Hours: Monday–Saturday 19:00–00:00, Sunday closed. The venue lists indoor and outdoor seating and parking opposite.

A €25 meze is not a €25 table

The two-person totals above are our multiplication of the published per-person price, not special offers. Ask whether everyone must order the same meze. A couple cannot assume they can combine one fish and one vegetarian order when each menu has a minimum of two. Also ask which drinks, bread or extras are outside the quoted price. At Forsos, get the price before confirming the booking because the public menu does not provide it.

Sunday lunch or a weekday evening?

Of these four, Karatello is the published Sunday-lunch option, from noon. Meze Taverna, Skourouvinnos and Forsos list Sunday as closed. For an earlier weekday meal, Meze Taverna lists kitchen orders from 12:15; the other three open in the evening. These are venue-posted hours checked on 12 October, not a promise that every date has availability. Reserve for your actual day, especially if planning around a show or a large group.

Plan the rest of the evening

For a castle-area table, our old-town walk helps you keep the outing local. Agios Athanasios and Mouttagiaka need a separate route from the centre: open the map before booking.
