A forest walk can fit into half a day. In Kyparissia, the shorter circuit leaves room for a slow afternoon back in town; the route down to Germasogeia Dam asks for more time and a plan for the return journey.
The shorter 3.7 km route
Visit Cyprus lists the circular route at about 1½ hours, with difficulty grade 2. There is a steep descent at the start. This is the simpler choice if you want to finish where you began, though it is still a walk that calls for steady footing.
The longer 11 km route
The linear route ends at Germasogeia Dam. The official estimate is 3–3½ hours, at difficulty grade 3. Allow extra time if you plan to walk back to your parked car. Arranging a lift at the finish makes a different day from walking back.
Getting to the start
The published starting point is about 3 km off the Parekklisia–Kellaki road, reached via dirt and forest roads. The map below marks the official coordinates. It is a trailhead pin, not a promise that every car can reach it in all conditions.
What to expect along the way
The route passes through forest and follows part of the Kyparissia River, with views towards the dam and Limassol. Bring water and shoes with grip. Check weather and current forestry notices before setting off. We have used the published route descriptions and have not inspected the trails. For an easier city outing, our Molos guide stays by the sea.
