You can put Open Sports Festival in the family calendar without entering a team. The main event takes place at The Heritage Private School on Saturday 24 October 2026, from 09:00. Spectators, families and children enter free, making this an option for a weekend outing beyond the seafront.
A reason to go, even if you are not playing
Company teams are the focus of the competitions, but the organiser also lists a kids zone, DJs, dance performances and street food. That gives a mixed-age group several reasons to visit. Choose a sport to watch together, then leave space for whatever holds everyone's attention on the day.
Know what free entry covers
Free spectator admission is separate from company-team participation, which requires registration. It also does not mean that food, drinks or every activity is included. Allow a separate spending budget. If you want to compete, ask the organiser for the relevant package before making plans around a particular sport.
Put rugby tag on your watch list
Rugby tag is new this year, alongside familiar choices such as football and 3x3 basketball. Pick one sport you know and one you rarely watch: it gives the visit a simple shape without requiring a whole-day commitment. Keep the rest of your time open for the kids zone or a food stop.
Start from 09:00; confirm the finish
The official listings agree on the start but differ on the finish: Visit Cyprus gives 17:00, while Limassol Tourism lists 20:00. Check with Open Sports on +357 700 700 64 before arranging a late visit or collection. Ask for the timetable of any activity you particularly want to catch.
Save the venue before you leave
The venue is Heritage in Palodia, postcode 4549. Use the map below to plan your journey, then confirm the event entrance with the organiser. If parking, step-free access or a pushchair route will determine whether you can attend, ask about those arrangements in advance.
